Paint a Landscape (online)
Explore the world of acrylic landscape painting with the Paint a Landscape online course! Led by the experienced instructor Lottie Aldarwish, this course teaches the fundamentals of composition, value, and color and culminates in a completed piece of artwork. At the end of this workshop you'll have a small practice landscape on paper and your own landscape in acrylics.
Event Details
- Audience: Anyone who wants to learn to paint a landscape from scratch, using either your own reference or a reference provided.
- Date: Thursday, 10 August 2023
- Time: 6:30-8:30 PM EST
- Location: Zoom
- Recording: Available for 2 weeks after the event.
- Materials: your digital materials include a workshop PDF, a materials list PDF and detailed instructions on how to join the class. These will be emailed to you within 2 business days of signing up. You will need to print out the workbook before the class.
Workshop Content
- Introduction to color mixing and combinations
- Techniques for creating eye-catching landscape compositions
- Step-by-step instruction on creating a small landscape painting as practice.
- Step-by-step guidance to paint a landscape painting using a reference provided or your own.
- Workbook filled with exercises, instructions and tips for painting your landscape.
- All questions can be asked live during the workshop.
- You don't need to share your painting or your face with anyone else if you don't want to, feel free to do what feels comfortable to you.
Teaching format
- Live via Zoom. You'll receive a link to the Zoom class a week before the class starts. Can't make it? The recording will be available to you for 2 weeks after the class.
- Receive a PDF with a list of class materials. You can either choose to purchase your own or have the class' paint tubes shipped to you (choose this option upon checkout).
- Your workbook will be provided to you filled with exercises, tips, instructions and steps.
Optional: Paint Kit
You can optionally choose to take the class and have a paint kit shipped to you. This paint kit includes the following and is yours to keep:
- 5x 20ml tubes of Amsterdam paints (Standard series);
- 2 paint brushes (a flat and a round);
- 2 pieces of watercolor paper;
- 1 standard wood panel (prepped and sealed for you);
Important!
Although this itself class is tried & tested, the online format is a new one for us. So this first class is capped at a very small number and comes at a reduced price because some things may go wrong this first time (but 🤞) If that sounds good to you, we'd love to see you in class!
You will need to print out the workbook (black & white, ink-friendly) before the class.

Shipping outside Canada and USA
Depending on your region or shipping outside North America, you will be offered a list of rates from UPS, Fedex and Canada Post where applicable. Rates and speed can be selected before checkout.
We recommend you choose tracking as we unfortunately can't be held responsible in the unlikely case of shipments arrivals or lack thereof.

We ship within 3-5 business days and most packages will arrive within 10-14 business days after that. If you need faster delivery, please contact us or select your preferred shipping speed from the rates list (note that flat fee shipping does not apply to faster shipping).
